One week down

We worked on google docs to create a map showing which Pacific Islands we all come from.

In writing we were sharing our blankets after reading Night is a Blanket.  We practiced using metaphors.

Every day in maths we have been working into morning tea time - we have been in the ZONE!!

We have been working on making connections, reading between the lines and inferring.

The whole class got a new google email addresses and we've been logging in to do some work.

We're back!

Maraeroa School is on the news. At lunchtime we were filmed for a story on the news. Watch us on TV One tonight at 6.00pm.

This morning we had a powhiri to welcome the new people to our school. Welcome to Maraeroa's learning community. During playtime some of us were looking after a junior. This was showing the Maraeroa value of kindness. We have been showing our Maraeroa values today and looking after the teachers and each other.

Some of us got to make our new school email profile and work on Google Classroom. It was cool because we can keep in touch with each other and share our thinking and feedback (edit each other's ideas).

Otis, Joseph and Malia shared their letter to the class from the Mayor of Porirua (Nick Leggett). It was about kids giving their ideas for Porirua city.

What an amazing first day!!!!!
